Fall 40 Days For Life Prayer Vigil Info

Hello Prayer Partners!!

We were able to get some much needed brainstorming at the meetings this week!!

In this email you will find:
Exciting PRAISE report
Information about cost for newspaper article
Weblink for 40 DFL merchandise
Life Chain information
Coverage days for 40 DFL

I JUST got this exciting information!!!! For those of you that don't already know, Aaron's was the site of the 2nd 40 Day For Life 24 hour / 7 days each week prayer vigil.
Last Wednesday, August 27 was Aaron's final day to kill children. Thank God that the horror has ceased at this place.
We had received word at the end of June that Aaron's "would be closing," and they initially told us their last day to take appointments was going to be Saturday, June 28. We found out they were going to stay open "for a few more weeks."
But praise be to God, after 29 years of killing children in Dallas, "Aaron Women's Health Center" has now officially closed permanently. This is such a victory for life, since Aaron's was not only an abortuary but it was the later term abortuary (killing unborn babies over 16 weeks) for all of North Texas and for those who traveled here from nearby states. Praise God!
We continue to pray for the conversion of heart for all who have ever worked at Aaron's, and for those who have moved over to the remaining five abortuaries in Dallas, where CPLC sidewalk counselors will continue to reach out in love and offer alternatives to all who are coming for abortions. We especially pray for healing for all the mothers and fathers whose babies died at Aaron's over the last 29 years.
If you or anyone you know are suffering from an abortion, please call our confidential Abortion AfterCare-Healing helpline, 214-544-CARE, or email healing@racheldallas.org. We can help.

Back to our current vigil information:

I have spoken to the McKinney Courier and they will give us a discounted rate of $570 to run a full half page ad about the vigil. Several of you have expressed your interest in donating to this area - if you are still feeling called to do that just let me know. Thank you!!!!

Also, I want to remind you all that LIFE CHAIN is just around the corner

If any of you would like to purchase 40 Days for Life merchandise like T-Shirts ($4.95 each) they are being offered at INCREDIBLY low prices through Heritage House Inc. Go to www.hh76.com/40days to see the items or call 800-858-3040. They have many items that would be incredible to have for the campaign - I would love to be able to find a way to raise a couple hundred dollars to spend on the brochures, T-shirts, and yard signs. If you have any suggestions or can help coordinate this please call or email me.

Thank you all for your support and prayers are we approach the start of this vigil!!!

Where we go from here:
We will have a meeting next Thursday evening at 7 PM - location is still to be determined. If you would like to offer your home or church meeting space we would be appreciative. Also, please invite someone else to come to the meeting with you!! This is a united effort, and the more volunteers we have the more effective we will be.

You will see the vigil hours listed below. As we did in the last vigil, we will still be scheduling a minimum 4 hours of prayer on days that the PPE is closed. An individual, church, or group of people can chose to 'adopt' these days. The prayers may be said in the privacy of your home, in your church, at the PPE vigil site, or at another location of your choosing.

We will remain on the public right of way during hours that the PPE is open and operating. Please consider adopting one of the days listed. If you email me I will put your name or your church's name in that time slot!

LIFE CHAIN INFORMATION:
Last year on the first Sunday of October in more than 1,300 cities and towns across the United States and Canada, tens of thousands of pro-life people gathered to pray silently and hold professionally printed signs beside major streets.

They peacefully showed solidarity in the Christian community for the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death.

Organizers hear every year about young women who have decided not to have an abortion after reading the signs.

Good Morning Prayer Warriors!!!

Well, last week was an eventful week. Thank you all for remaining faithful!

BREAKING NEWS:
PP does not have a restraining order or an injunction - they DO have a 'power of attorney' that PP has been given by the property manager, on behalf of the owner. That is why the police have been out to the vigil site several times during the past few weeks to make sure that we are staying off the PPE strip center property. They have given out some 'criminal trespass warnings'. These are NOT tickets or citations, they are simply a formal warning that we have been made aware - by the police - that we are NOT allowed anywhere on the PPE property. Please remember to keep the McKinney Police in our prayers, and always abide by the law. As with many of us, this is new and unfamiliar territory to the McKinney Police. They are honorable, kind men who have been very respectful to our vigil participants. I have spoken to the Sergeant and here is what I have learned - most of it we already knew.
o None of us are allowed anywhere on the PPE strip center property - even when the PPE is closed. We have the attorney notified and working on this issue - I will keep you updated.
o A criminal trespass warning will be given to anyone who is on the PPE property or in the PPE parking lot
o We are not 'allowed' to patronize the businesses on the PPE strip center. The power of attorney has given PP authority to call the Police on behalf of the property manager & owner - even if we are welcome in the other businesses. It doesn't seem right - but we must abide or be given a criminal trespass warning.

CURRENT PRAYER PRESENCE NEEDED:
PP is open this Friday from 9 - 6 PM and again on Monday from 9 - 5
If you have time to go the public right of way and pray please let me know - we need to go in groups of 2 or more!!!!!!!!!!!

Last week many of us met at St Gabriel Catholic Church on Thursday and Friday, and we covered a lot of ground. Here is a meeting recap:

o We went over the new boundaries which I have outlined above:
o We may not shout or call out to PPE clients - checking into the legality of this - will update asap
o

FUTURE PLANS: We are going to participate in the fall campaign with hundreds of other cities see www.40daysforlife.com for more information. Here is a brief recap
40 Days for Life is a community-based campaign that draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a three-point program:
Prayer and fasting
Constant vigil
Community outreach

40 Days for Life takes a determined, peaceful approach to showing local communities the consequences of abortion in their own neighborhoods, for their own friends and families. It puts into action a desire to cooperate with God in the carrying out of His plan for the end of abortion in America.
The 40-day campaign tracks Biblical history, where God used 40-day periods to transform individuals, communities ... and the entire world. From Noah in the flood to Moses on the mountain to the disciples after Christ's resurrection, it is clear that God sees the transformative value of His people accepting and meeting a 40-day challenge.

As with most efforts there are needs that arise when we accept the call to participate in an organized event like this. An anonymous donor generously donated the registration fee - please lift this Good Samaritan up in your prayers. In addition to the donor, several other individuals had also offered to sponsor part or all of the fee, and they have all said they will reallocate those funds to other areas in need as they arise. Here are some of the areas where we will need help in the form of talent, time, and treasure. If you feel compelled to help in any way please contact me for more information and to discuss how you would like to be involved.

The campaign is also a group effort. There needs to be a main coordinator, but there is a whole level of duties and responsibilities that must be filled in addition to the director's position:
Prayer coordinator
Vigil coordinator
Outreach coordinator
Event coordinator
Church coordinator
Communications coordinator
A line from Scripture comes to mind: "Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will." Please pray for discernment and guidance. 40 Days for Life won't happen without somebody; that "somebody" could be you!

I participated in the 2nd 40 Days for Life campaign in Dallas, TX (The first one was in Bryan, TX) and I can attest to the AMAZING way the Holy Spirit works during these vigils! In Dallas some of the fruits of our vigil were: 17 children spared from death by abortion, united 89 churches across denominational lines, and mobilized over 1,200 people. AND NOW FINALLY - THE AARON'S ABORTION CENTER WHERE THE VIGIL WAS HELD IS CLOSING - WE PRAISE YOU LORD!!!!

Needs:
o WEBSITE: This was a terrific idea offered by Carol. The website we have now is a free site - however very hard to pass along the web address. Hosting costs approximately $20-30 per year through a host like godaddy.com. We have had volunteers to help design the website once we get an actual website address purchased

o Signs - there are many different and understandable opinions about our having signs at the vigil. Of course, ultimately, it will be up to each individual if they wish to hold a sign while they are at the vigil site praying. The general consensus of everyone at the meeting is that IF we are going to have signs - we need to have them professionally made and with only loving messages. For example “Praying for Life”. I do not have a price yet on signs, and I would love a volunteer who can explore this if they have time.

o Cell Phone: This is not something we discussed at the group, however it has become an issue for me. Our family has a pretty good sized minute plan already, and I have exceeded my plan allotment the past several months. If you have ever gone over your 'plan', you know that this can quickly double your expected budget. My thoughts are to purchase a Metro PCS phone - they have no contracts, and unlimited usage for $55 each month. This phone could be used as the contact phone for all vigil information, and it would allow my existing personal cell phone a break. We could also publish the phone number on our printed material. I think one of the biggest benefits would be having a daily, informative, vigil specific message update on the voicemail - rather than everyone reaching my company voicemail and getting confused. I am already getting calls that are being sent to me from the 40 DFL website from local Christians that want to be involved the in the 40 DFL.

o Outreach: we discussed the outreach portion of the 40 DFL campaign. My vision of outreach for our city's vigil is to reach out to local businesses and ask them to agree to publicly state their love for the unborn. They could do this by simply agreeing to allow us to give them a sticker to proudly display in their business. Bree has a friend who has generously offered to help us design a logo! The businesses who participate would also agree not to fund/donate money to PP. We need someone (or several people) to help us pull this aspect of the campaign together.

o T-Shirts: Everyone thought that T-shirts with the outreach logo on them are a TERRIFIC idea and a great way to be a public witness and raise awareness! Again, we could use a volunteer to seek out the best price and quality.

I hope I remembered everything - once midnight starts to creep up I get forgetful. Again , thank each of you for your prayers and for your faithful devotion to the unborn babies!!!

FYI - there are new pictures on the blog!!!!!

In Christ,
Melaine

Thank you to all who is participating!!!

Parking issues for the Vigil

An email I received - very good information

Melaine,

Also, I had another visitor after Jan S. left and I was waiting about 10-minutes before the Meyer's showed up. It was a police officer that said he had just read the notarized injunction and it stated that we couldn't stand under the tree in the shade, we had to stand on the sidewalk or on the grass near the street. Also, he recommended that I move my car to the Steak & Shake parking lot across the street or it could be towed if the complaining business requests. I had walked in the parking lot a few times to distribute information to PP clients that had expressed an interest in the literature or had drove around near to me for the information. Supposedly, I am not allowed to do that either. I think what got their goat was my yelling across the parking lot, which I agree is rather annoying. If we could stand near the business, I wouldn't have to yell, but I guess we can stand on the sidewalk and just yell a little louder.

During the day I noticed employees from the clinic going over to the granite countertop company and then cops coming to the countertop company. Perhaps we can put them on our "no shopping" list. If a few Christian homebuilders knew what they were doing to support PP, I bet they could influence their behavior.

Anyhow... just wanted you to know that they claim that we're not allowed to park in the parking lot or walk in the parking lot to distribute literature. I think we have access to the sidewalk as you enter and exit the shopping center as opposed to just the far corner. The cop said that if you haven't received a copy of the injunction, you can contact PP to request a copy. Also, keep an eye out for the McKinney Courier - there should be an article regarding the protest efforts.

Legal Issue's w/ PPE

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We have hit a bump in the road in relation to the prayer vigil at the
Planned Parenthood in McKinney. Planned Parenthood has gotten a legal 'power of attorney' document from the owner/manager of the strip center that prohibits us from being on the property for the purpose of prayer and Christian outreach. We do not know the owners name or what information he was given by PP in order for him to resort to this action.
For the time being, in order to abide by the law, we must now stand in the public right of way (on Eldorado). There are some draw backs to this position : of course, we now will not have limited contact with the PPE clients. Our efforts were obviously significant in order for them to go to the legal expense and effort to get this "limited power of attorney" from the land owner. The PPE has also cut their Saturday hours nearly in HALF. They are now closing at 2 PM !!!!
There are also positives - We can now draw more attention to the public witness. Our 'mission' has always been to PRAY the PPE out of McKinney, and to pray for an end to abortion. We could have chosen to pray anywhere, however we were called to pray at the location and hoped to be able to share the loving message of Jesus Christ. I stand firm in the belief that we are where we are supposed to be. I do think we have some changes to make now that we have been pushed back to Eldorado. One of my suggestions is that we might want to have signs to show what we are doing. Signs that say things like “Praying for LIFE” or “praying to end abortion”. I know this intimidates some people - and it will not be 'required', however I have also heard from many people who are up for the challenge. The ladies from Rheas Mill were on Eldorado this Monday - and several people stopped by asking to get involved!!! One even brought water!!!! This move may have been God's hand leading us where He wants us!!!

There are a few specific areas I would like to ask you to pray for:

o What is the best way to focus our efforts to accomplish our goal of pushing PP out of McKinney? We already know that PP is 'testing the waters' here in McKinney and wish to someday have an actual abortion clinic here in our town - if the community accepts them. We must send a strong message that we do not want this evil entity in our home town.
o Where do we go from here? Today the national 40 Days for Life organization is allowing communities to register to participate in the upcoming fall 40 DFL campaign. I have been part of the previous 2 vigils in Dallas - and I know this is a worthy place to spend our time, treasure, and talents. I believe McKinney should be in active in this fall campaign, and I believe a vigil should be help at the Planned Parenthood Express. There are several aspects to this type of vigil a) The cost is $197.00 - and we would have to have donations to cover that expense. b) we need a dedicated core group of volunteers to help organize it c) we might need to fundraise a little bit to get signs, etc….The deadline to register is July 29th. Please visit the website for more information www.40daysforlife.com and let me know if you are called to help with this effort.
o City wide outreach: Outreach is an aspect of the 40 DFL vigil, and should we choose to participate I have some ideas of a citywide outreach to businesses.
o Businesses near the PPE. Please pray for them and that Christ blesses them for allowing us to be on their property!!! Aside from praying for them, please patronize them whenever possible!! Ladies, most of us love a good pedicure - why not stop in there for one and tell them THANK you for their kindness!!!! Men, the nail salon gift certificates are a great gift!!!!

We only have a few days more left of public witness during this vigil, lets rally and finish off with awesome numbers of people praying!!! We still need help on these days:
Friday, July 18 from 1:30 - 5 PM at PPE (on Eldorado, of course)
Tuesday July 22 Noon - 7 PM

Thank you all - each and every one of you for you

God Bless,

Praise be to God! Aaron's late term abortion mill - CLOSING on June 28, 2008!!!

Dallas, Texas: Late-term abortion facility to close. Mass of Thanksgiving and Prayer Service Scheduled for Saturday, June 28

Aaron Women's Health Center, a late-term abortion facility in Dallas located at 6546 LBJ Freeway, will be closing due to eminent domain acquisition for the widening of LBJ. Aaron's was one of three abortion clinics in Texas authorized to perform late-term abortions when they upgraded their facilities in early 2005 to be in compliance with new state regulations requiring "ambulatory surgical center" status to perform abortions on unborn babies older than 16 weeks' gestation.

Members of the Catholic Pro-Life Committee, the Respect Life Ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Dallas, maintained a constant presence of peaceful prayer and sidewalk counseling in front of Aaron’s for over a decade.

Dallas organizers were the second group in the nation to undertake the 40 Days for Life campaign in 2004. Aaron's was the site of that effort from December 12, 2004, Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Unborn, to January 22, 2005, anniversary of the tragic Roe vs. Wade decision, when it was remodeling to do late-term abortions.

During the first 40 Days Vigil, a 24 hour a day/7 day a week ecumenical effort was organized and more than 900 people from 89 churches and several denominations prayed and fasted for an end to the killing of babies inside the clinic. The Catholic Pro-Life Committee participated in the National 40 Days for Life Prayer Vigil in the Fall of 2007 with a vigil outside of Planned Parenthood, and plans to hold 40 Days for Life Vigils at two Dallas locations this Fall in conjunction with the national campaign. The Christian community of McKinney is also planning to participate in a Fall 2008 40 Days for Life vigil at the newly opened Planned Parenthood Express.

The last day for abortion appointments at Aaron's is Saturday, June 28.

"We thank God that Dallas - and North Texas - will no longer be the home of a late-term abortion facility. We thank God for the many lives that will be saved and mothers and fathers spared the agony and regret of abortion with the closing of Aaron's. We stand ready to offer help and healing to those who have made the abortion decision at Aaron's or any other abortion facilities. We mourn the tremendous loss of so many thousands of innocent human lives, and we'll continue to pray and work towards the day when Dallas is an abortion-free city and the blood of innocent unborn children is no longer shed here." says Karen Garnet from the CPLC in Dallas.

Bishop Kevin Farrell of the Diocese of Dallas said, "This is the best news I've heard all week," and expressed his personal gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers and sacrifices for an end to the killing. There were 13 abortion clinics in Dallas In 1990 when Bishop Charles Grahmann arrived and began leading a monthly "Second Saturday Rosary" outside Dallas abortion clinics. Seven clinics closed between 1990-2001, the last being A Choice for Women in May of 2001. After Aaron's closes, there will remain five freestanding abortion clinics in Dallas, where the Catholic Pro-Life Committee and others will continue to pray and offer alternatives to abortion.

A Mass of Thanksgiving for the closing of Aaron's will be celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Mark Seitz at 8:00 am on Saturday, June 28, at St. Rita Catholic Church, located at 12521 Inwood Rd., Dallas. St. Rita was the location of the opening Mass and kickoff rally for the 40 Days Vigil held in 2004-05. Following Mass we will take buses to Aaron's for a closing prayer service and then return to St. Rita Sweeney Hall for a reception. As they did for the opening of the 40 Days Vigil in December 2004, special guests Shawn and Marilisa Carney from the National 40 Days for Life office in Bryan will be joining us for this Saturday's prayer and thanksgiving services. All are invited to attend

1st day of vigil

Hello Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

Today was our first official day of vigil in front of the Planned Parenthood Express! Thank you all for coming together to make this vigil possible. Thank you for answering the call to pray as a united Body of Christ. St. Michael Catholic church started off the day with 8 disciples vigilantly praying! Due to the efforts of our dedicated volunteers we were able to put Christ centered educational information into at least 4 hands today! I don't know the exact number because I was not there for the last shift. Tomorrow St Gabriel has done an incredible job of signing up volunteers to come pray!

There are a few areas that I need to bring everyone attention to:

SIGNING IN:
Please remember to sign in when you arrive. We are doing this mainly to be sure that everyone who participates has signed the statement of peace. Of course, we also would like to know how many people have participated at the end of the vigil. If you have not signed a statement of peace before you arrive - there are plenty of blanks in 'the box'. All the documents are clearly labeled inside 'the box'. All information will be kept COMPLETELY confidential, and will not be sold/distributed to anyone. The only use for the names and contact information is for the vigil use and HOPE resource center.

JOURNAL:
I have left a journal on site in 'the box' so anyone can make notes and see others notes from previous days & times. Prayer intentions can also be added to the journal.

SUNSCREEN:
I will try to get a small sunscreen into 'the box' tomorrow. In case it disappears - I suggest everyone bring sunscreen. I did not use sunscreen today - and I was under the canopy all day - and I have a pretty bad sunburn on my face and scalp. I would not want this to happen to anyone else, so let's protect ourselves.

WATER & RESTROOMS:
Water & Restrooms are available in the Nail Salon for any vigil volunteer!

PARKING:
Remember to park away from the front of the businesses.

DATES WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS!!!

What if his people prayed!!

What if His people prayed
By Casting Crowns

What if the armies of the Lord
Picked up and dusted off their swords
Vowed to set the captives free
and not let satan have one more

What if the church, for heaven's sake
Finally stepped up to the plate
Took a stand on God's promise
And stormed hell's rusty gates

What if His people prayed
And those who bare His name
Would humbly seek His face
And turn from their own way

And what would happen if we prayed
For those raised up to lead the way
Then maybe kids in school could prey
And unborn children see light of day

What if the life that we pursue
Came from a hunger for the truth
What if the family turned to Jesus
Stopped asking Oprah what to do

Chorus.

He said that they would hear
His promise has been made
He'll answer loud and clear
If only we would pray

If My people called by My name
If they'll humble themselves and pray
If My people called by My name
If they'll humble themselves and pray

chorus

What if His people prayed

PPE open house notes:

PPE open house vigil notes:

Thank you to all of our prayer warriors - those who came to be a public witness and those who were praying from home and work today!

We had many small victories today.
o A young woman drove by the PPE and it was obvious to several of the volunteers that she wanted to go into the PPE. However she looked at the 12 Christians who were standing and praying in front of the PPE and she drove in a circle then drove away.
o 2 other young women came into the PPE and we were able to give me information when they left the PPE, and told them that we would be praying for them. Please pray for them : their names are Carissa and Lauren
o The Planned Parenthood Express hired a security guard when they saw us there - this is a victory because this is an expense for them. Remember - they are a business with a bottom line. If they aren't making money they will close and go away!!!! The same security seemed sympathetic to us.
o Mr. Jim's pizza is owned by a Christian couple who agreed not to handout any PPE material. They are prolife and said if we need anything to mention that we are with the group of people praying to close the PPE and they will give us a discount.
o The Donut shop is owned by a prolife Christian as well! We have a huge communication barrier - if anyone can help us with this please let us know.
o The McKinney newspaper interviewed both Carol and myself - so maybe that will help us raise awareness that there is a group of Christ's faithful who are committed to shutting down this PPE.
o We had 12 Christians from 4 different churches who came today to pray as a united Body of Christ.
o The prayer vigil participants now have the support of EVERY store/vendor in the strip center with the exception of the Custom bath & countertop store. We have not been able to visit with the storeowner yet. I will keep trying.

Future hopes
o We need a Korean speaking translator to talk to the Donut shop owner
o We need to get every hour that is open for business covered by a prayer warrior

Final thoughts:
Matthew 18:20 _For wherever two or three are gathered in My name, there I AM in the midst of them. Today, we gathered, as Christ's faithful. Today, we prayed both together and separately. Today, Christ saw that although we have different ways of worshipping Him, and different ways of praying, - we also have common ground. We are united in our belief that Christ alone is our Lord and Savior. We are united in our belief that Christ does not wish for innocent unborn babies to be aborted. We are united in Christian love for each other. Today, we know that at least two young women were given educational materials, and they know we are praying for them.
While we were driving away from the PPE today we saw and man and a woman enter the shop. Historically, when a man and woman enter together - they are seeking information about abortion. We were unable to deliver Christ's message to that couple today. Though they are nameless to us, Christ knows who they are - please lift them up in your prayers! Today several people who had never been to a Planned Parenthood put aside their own fears and reservations to follow Christ into battle. Make no mistake - this is a battle. We have to be firmly rooted in Christ's love to keep our hands on his plow. Luke 9:62_Jesus said to him, No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back [to the things behind] is fit for the kingdom of God. Though our enemy may be larger than us as individuals, we are capable, if it is Christ's will, of winning this battle! Matthew 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said, With men this is impossible, but all things are possible with God.

The messages of Planned Parenthood VS the message of HOPE

Compare The messages of Planned Parenthood vs. the messages of HOPE Resource Center of McKinney.

Planned Parenthood says:
Values free; individual decides right and wrong; secular humanist worldview.
Teen sexual promiscuity is inevitable.
“Safer-sex” practices should be used by teens to avoid STDs and pregnancy; condoms, contraceptives, and “outercourse” encouraged.*
“Lesbian, gay, bisexual and straight….All these sexual orientations are perfectly normal.”**
Easy access to birth control and emergency contraceptives is the way to reduce abortions.
Children are a burden if they aren't part of your plan; every child should be a wanted child; therefore if not wanted by the mother, abortion is perfectly acceptable. Women have control over life.
“Abortion is a very safe procedure. It’s about twice as safe as having your tonsils removed.”**
Serious long term emotional problems after abortion are rare; because abortion is a personal choice, neither right nor wrong, women should not feel guilty if they choose abortion.

HOPE stands for:
Absolute truth based on Bible; God determines right and wrong; Christian world view.
Teens are capable of controlling their bodies and upholding moral standards.
Abstinence until marriage is the way for teens to avoid STDs and pregnancy; sexual purity honors the Lord and protects teens from physical, emotional and spiritual harm
God’s design for human sexuality is heterosexual, one man married to one woman for a lifetime.
Sexual integrity and respect for the sanctity of life is the way to reduce abortions.
Children are a blessing; every child IS a wanted child, if not by his birthmother, then certainly by a couple waiting to adopt; God has sovereign control over life.
Abortion has serious physical and emotional risks. Abortion kills a baby, created in the image of God; abortion harms women and men deeply.
Long term emotional pain is not uncommon after abortion; because abortion is sin, there are ramifications for the women and men involved; HOPE’s post-abortion support group and Bible study offers a biblical path to forgiveness and healing.

The following scripture reveals the tragic truth about the harmful message and agenda of PP:
There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. Proverbs 14:12

*outercourse refers to all sexual activity other than vaginal intercourse
** quotes taken directly from PP’s vulgar and explicit teen website, www.teenwire.com, that teaches the “art and science” of premarital sex.

Who is Planned Parenthood?

Many of you are aware that Planned Parenthood Express opened in McKinney last month. We wanted to take this opportunity to be sure that you know who PP really is and what messages they send, especially to our children. Despite their claims that “no one does more to help women,” here are some facts you need to know.
• It’s about abortion: PP is America’s largest abortion provider, performing 289,750 abortions in 2006. That is 5,572 babies killed each week.*
• It’s about money: While PP is classified as a not-for-profit corporation, they reported an "excess of revenue over expenses" of $114.8 million for fiscal year 2006-2007.*
• It’s about YOUR money: PP’s most recent annual report shows that they received $336.7 million from taxpayers through government grants and contracts.* Your tax money is then used to sue the federal government over legislation that puts limits and regulations on abortion, like the ban on partial birth abortion and parental notice and consent laws. Your money supports their agenda.
• It’s about sex: They promote values free sexual education, which teaches teens that as long as you think you are ready for sex, then it’s OK. Their perverted sex ed breaks down natural inhibitions which leads to an increasing number of PP customers for birth control and abortion.

* Taken from PP’s most recent annual report: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/files/AR_2007_vFinal.pdf

Nationwide PP has an extremely powerful influence in schools and legislation. But praise be to God that He has provided another voice to our community—the voice of HOPE! Compare the messages of PP with the messages of HOPE Resource Center of McKinney.

40 Day vigil info

PRAYING FOR LIFE : June 16- July 26

Planned Parenthood has quietly crept into our backyard when they recently set up a Planned Parenthood Express in McKinney, TX.  The Christian community throughout north Collin County is invited to take part in a peaceful prayer vigil that will last 40 continuous days beginning June 16 thru July 26.  Please consider volunteering to pray outside of the Planned Parenthood facility for one or more hours during this vigil.  You do NOT need any previous experience, training, or expertise to participate.  The only qualification is to have a heart that is Christ filled and willing to serve by peacefully praying for an end to abortion and for peace and healing for all those who have been victimized by the abortion industry.  We will be having prayer times at churches all over the area during the days that the Planned Parenthood Express is closed (they are only open 3 day per week).  To get more information call Melaine at 214-385-6823 or visit the vigil website at http://freewebs.com/mckinneyprayervigil/
